The ancient Villas of Andernos

Visit the ancient villas of Andernos les Bains, ask for a map of the trail you can follow by bike or walking at the Office du Tourisme.

In the forest of pine trees you can have some gorgeous tours walking or riding a horse

Pedestrian walks: The path of the littoral (coast) and the path of St-Jacques de Compostelle are open to everyone. Easybordeaux advises you to check on the ocean tide to appreciate better the landscape.

Following the path of the Littoral(coast), in north direction, cross the old wood bridge wich will enable you to coss the river Cirès, on the other side you will find the beach of St Brice à Arès.

Ride on a bike to discover the natural environment of the Basin

Andernos les Bains offers you vous 600 km of bycicle trails across all the area of the Gironde passing through the beaches of the coast, the Ocean and the town of Bordeaux.

Ride a horse on the Basin: start from the beach of Andernos with the sun setting, discover nature's calm, go and visit the landaise woods, breathe the perfum of the sea pine trees.. Easybordeaux advises you the Riding school of Les Ecuries d’Andernos on the Route de Bordeaux (entering the town close to the Casino Miami).

Walks in the channels and sea landscapes with the law tide on the Arcachon Basin

On these sandy and slightly muddy beaches you will be able to collect many shells,cockles, clams, crabs and mussels.Consult the page of our Basin cooking receipes on the Easybordeaux website in order to savour our typical plates and to enjoy the result of a beautiful walk. Reserve a place to be escorted by a guide of the Basin at the Tourist Office as soon as you arrive this way you will be more sure (they know better the moovements of the tides).

Walks along the sea

At the start of the pedestian walk you will find a kiosk of the Arcachonnais Union fighters (UBA) they propose to you to discover of the Bird Island, of the oysters faming, the Banc d’Arguin, la Dune du Pyla and the return horse riding.

The beaches of Andernos

The beaches of Andernos les Bains are 6 km long, from Lanton to Ares, fine sand beaches, slightly inclined, they are the perfect location for kids (I have spent there my youth and I can still remember how great those afternoons playing and swimming were).

Beach of Betey : Shadowy beach, ideal for parents with small children. You will enjoy the shadow of the pins and tamarix, with a little siesta rocked by a soft breeze.

Beach of the Jetée : Many distractions and animations are offered on this beach. If you are going to spend your vacations in Andernos Easybordeaux advises you to inscribe your kids at the Saling Club. Beach of the Port Ostréicole : Great view over the coloured fishers huts, take advantage of this beautiful panoramic view and enjoy some oysters served with some great white wine of Entre-Deux-Mers.

The church Saint-Eloi, charmante little chapel that dominates the beach, the hours pass fast under the clock's bells reminder. Why not take advantage of this beautiful day for a nice slow walk (only 300 mt) on the pedestrian walk. With family or friends enjoy a Lillet (apéritif girondin) in the little charming town of Andernos-les-Bains.

Plage du Maurey :

Beach of Quinconces : Savage beach protected by the Association of Quinconces that puts a lot of work into the requalification of the place.

La Pointe des Quinquonces, part of the picturesque patrimony of the Gironde, was the favourite walk of Sarah Bernhardt. You can also see the ancient reservoirs for fish made in 1840 by David Allègre, also known for the construction of the first steam engine of the world "the Turbot" in Arès.

Angling Fishing

In Andernos-les-Bains, you will be able to practice angling fishing. It is rather simple to catch some sea buckthorn and some mussels when the tide is coming up. This fishing is authorised. Easybordeaux advises you not to go around the area of the Port Ostréicole. The quality of the water is not great with the boats coming in and out of the channel.
